Project FireStorm is the code-name that has been given to the FreeSide blogging project. FireStorm's goal is to provide a blog service to the students within the University of Hull.

This service is not running just for the personal use of individual students but on top of that it is expected that it will be used by groups of people within teams (FireStorm team for example).

For the time being at least FireStorm is currently being worked on as a full application development project (programming from ground up) as opposed to package installation. (There will be a full report soon on why this is. I will post the link once it is done).

For the time being, the FireStorm team (after researching various alternatives) has begun looking into and testing Python and TurboGears as our development platform of choice.
